Why does my content keep buffering?

Buffering is often caused by network issues, but Chillio offers tools to reduce playback interruptions.

Buffering can be frustrating, but it’s usually not caused by the app itself. Multiple factors contribute to buffering:

  • Your local network speed or instability
  • Your provider’s server performance
  • Your ISP’s throttling or IPTV restrictions
  • App needing time to cache and load content properly

🛠 What can I do in Chillio to help?

You can increase the forward buffer duration, allowing Chillio to load more of the stream in advance before playing. This may delay playback slightly but can lead to smoother viewing.

✅ How to adjust the buffer:

  1. Start playing any content
  2. Tap More Options (last button in the player toolbar)
  3. Go to Advanced Preferences
  4. Select Forward Buffer Duration
  5. Increase the value (default is 5 seconds)
⏳ Try increasing to 10–15 seconds for better results, especially on unstable connections.
